On Sunday, December 14th, the Delaware City Fire Company was awarded the Edward C. McCormick Memorial Fire Safety Education Award 2nd Place by the Delaware State Fire Prevention Commission. The Awards Ceremony was held in conjunction with the Annual DVFA Poster and Essay Awards Program. Unfortunately the members of the Fire Company who were not able to accept this award in front of our peers and the public due to a time change and lack of communications by SOMEONE. We are very proud of our Fire Prevention Program. Over the past year our Program has logged over 47 hours, traveled over 175 miles and reached out to over 1025 children of all ages. Once again our members commitment and dedication has put our Fire Company in another positive spotlight in the Delaware Fire Service.
